Current Affairs
Sports current affairs is a small, well-defined and highly scoreable category. It appears in almost every general awareness section, the questions follow a predictable pattern, and the material is bounded in a way that most current affairs is not.
That combination makes it one of the better returns available in awareness preparation. A short themed page updated after each major tournament covers most of what will be asked.

Questions
A small but consistent share of almost every general awareness section — typically a question or two, and more in examinations with large awareness components such as RRB NTPC and police recruitment. What makes it worth preparing is not the volume but the ratio: the category is bounded and the questions are predictable, so a modest amount of organised effort covers most of what will be asked.
The winner, the runner-up, the venue and the host country, since those are what the questions ask. For multi-sport events, add India’s medal tally and any notable individual performance. For awards, record the recipient and the discipline, since the discipline is frequently the thing asked about. One line per event on a page organised by sport is sufficient.
After each major tournament rather than daily — this is one of the few current affairs categories where a daily habit is unnecessary, because the examinable material arrives in discrete events rather than continuously. A page organised by sport, updated when a significant tournament concludes and revised monthly, covers the category efficiently and takes only minutes at a time.
