How to schedule mock tests for SSC recruitment

SSC papers are speed papers. The syllabus is not deep, the questions are not individually hard, and results turn on how many correct answers a candidate can produce per minute under a deduction rule. That makes testing frequency unusually important here.

A testing rhythm that works for a speed paper

  1. One full-length paper a week, from the start. Not once the syllabus is covered — from the start. In a speed paper, exam craft is a large share of the score and it is built only by sitting papers.
  2. Two sectional tests midweek. On the two sections your last full paper was weakest in. Sectional tests isolate a problem that a full paper only reports.
  3. A daily calculation drill of fifteen minutes. Tables, squares, fraction-to-percentage equivalents. This is the single habit that moves an SSC quantitative score fastest and it is not a test.
  4. An error log the same day, every time. Cause, not topic: did not know, misread, wrong method, calculation slip, ran out of time. Five causes, five different fixes.

Which tier are you actually preparing for?

In several SSC recruitments the first tier screens and a later tier builds the merit list. Once a Tier 1 score is comfortably clear, further effort belongs in the tier that decides the result. Confirm the stage structure for your recruitment in its own notification, because it does change between cycles.

Performance analysis

Know Where You Stand. Know What to Improve.

A total score tells you little on its own. Each available test shows the score, attempted and skipped questions, section performance, and answer explanations so you can classify what went wrong before the next attempt.

Current attempts run in your browser. Save or screenshot the result before leaving the page.

Questions

Mock Tests — FAQs

Are the mock tests really free?

Yes. Every test listed under Free Mock Tests can be attempted without paying, and you get your score, the answer key and explanations at the end. The question count and time shown on each card describe that test, not the full examination.

Do mock tests follow the current exam pattern?

The diagnostics use the exam’s subject mix and marking logic, but they are deliberately shorter than the full paper. Check the conducting body’s current notification for the binding stage structure, question count, timing and marking scheme.

How often should I attempt a full-length mock?

About once a week once you have covered the syllabus, and every two weeks while you are still learning. What matters more than frequency is spending as long on the analysis as you did on the test.
