What to analyse

• Performance in the first section of each measure — it sets the ceiling for the second, so a weak start is expensive.
• Vocabulary errors specifically — separate from comprehension errors; they need a different remedy.
• Quantitative errors from misreading — the mathematics is rarely the difficulty for Indian candidates; careless reading often is.
• Blanks — always zero — there is no penalty for a wrong answer.

Getting value from adaptive practice tests

1. Use official adaptive tests for score prediction Only they reproduce section-level adaptation. A fixed-difficulty test tells you about your accuracy and nothing about the score you would receive.
2. Space them across the preparation The supply is limited and each is a scarce measurement. Clustering them in the final fortnight wastes the diagnostic value they were meant to provide.
3. Review the first section of each measure separately It sets the ceiling, so a pattern of slow starts is worth more attention than an equivalent number of errors later.
4. Separate vocabulary errors from comprehension errors They need different remedies — one is a discrimination problem, the other a reading problem — and a combined verbal score hides which you have.
5. Confirm blanks are zero No penalty applies. A single unanswered question means the final-seconds habit is not yet automatic.
