NEET PG — NEET PG exam pattern 2026: 180 questions, five time-bound sections, marking and cut-offs

NEET PG is one computer-based sitting of 3 hours 30 minutes: since 2026, 180 multiple-choice questions for 720 marks, in five time-bound sections of 36 questions and 42 minutes each, marked +4 for a correct answer and −1 for a wrong one. The 2025 paper had 200 questions for 800 marks in sections of 40, so 2025 cut-offs and scores are on a different scale.

Structure.

Tie-break

Fewer wrong answers in the whole paper, then fewer in Sections A, B, C, D and E in order, then the higher MBBS aggregate (or FMGE marks) entered in the form, then the older candidate — which is why an accurate MBBS percentage in the application matters.
