BSSC Graduate Level — What the syllabus covers

General studies
Current affairs — science, awards, languages, books, capitals, currency, sports, events; India and its neighbours — history, culture, geography, economy, the freedom movement with Bihar’s part, agriculture and resources, the Constitution, polity, panchayati raj, community development and planning.
General science and mathematics
Physics, chemistry, biology and geography at matric level; number systems, decimals and fractions, arithmetic, percentage, ratio, averages, interest, profit and loss.
Mental ability
Verbal and non-verbal reasoning — analogy, classification, space visualisation, problem-solving, visual memory, relationships, arithmetical reasoning, series, coding and decoding.
Mains Hindi
Grammar, vocabulary and comprehension; 100 questions qualifying at 30 per cent.
