Syllabus

KPSC Group B — What the syllabus covers

Paper 1 — general, 300 marks
Current affairs; general science; the history and geography of Karnataka and India; social science; general mental ability; matters of daily household and practical knowledge — the commission’s one-page syllabus for Group A and B posts under the 2021 rules.
Paper 2 — specific, 300 marks
The post’s discipline at the level of the qualifying degree — civil engineering, geology, industrial management, land records — set out post by post on the commission’s syllabus page for the March 2024 round.
Audit Officer prelims
General studies of 150 and commerce and management of 300, objective, bilingual.
Audit Officer mains
Kannada and English qualifying; two general studies papers; financial accounting, management and analysis; management principles, organisational behaviour, training and development; corporate finance, business economics and taxation; auditing, computer concepts and e-commerce.
