Syllabus

Karnataka Technical Posts — What the syllabus covers

Paper 1 — general
General knowledge and current affairs, the Constitution, Indian and Karnataka history and geography, general science, mental ability and Kannada and English at general level, under the Karnataka Civil Services (Direct Recruitment) (General) Rules 2021.
Paper 2 — the discipline
Civil, mechanical, electrical or computer science engineering at the level of the qualifying degree or diploma; KEA publishes the specific syllabus with each notification and has said the September 2026 syllabus will be published separately.
KPSC Group C below degree — Paper 2
General Kannada 35, general English 35, computer knowledge 30. No engineering paper.
KPSC AEE, PWD — technical papers 1 to 4
Four papers of 100 marks and three hours each in the discipline, under Schedule 2 of the PWD Services rules of 2018, with general knowledge and the two qualifying language papers.
Kannada test
SSLC first-language standard, 150 marks, 50 to pass.
