Uttar Pradesh Police — What the syllabus covers

General knowledge — both
India and Uttar Pradesh: history, geography, polity, economy, culture, police and security, current events, awards, sports and computers.
General Hindi — both
Grammar, vocabulary, synonyms and antonyms, idioms, sentence correction and comprehension.
Numerical and mental ability — both
Number systems, simplification, percentages, ratio, averages, interest, time and work, mensuration and data interpretation; series, coding and ordering.
Mental aptitude, intelligence and reasoning — both
Attitude to public interest, law and order, rule of law and gender sensitivity; analogies, classification, direction, syllogisms, figure reasoning.
Law and the Constitution — sub-inspector
The Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita and Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita; protection of women, children and Scheduled Castes; traffic, environment, wildlife and human rights law; RTI; the IT Act and cyber crime; land reform and revenue law; the Constitution’s rights, principles, Centre-State relations, elections and All India Services; Uttar Pradesh administration; social media.
