LSAT — Reading previous papers properly

Every LSAC account includes LawHub, which carries free Official LSAT PrepTests in the current testing interface and a practice Argumentative Writing prompt; LawHub Advantage, a paid subscription, opens an extensive library of full retired tests and more writing prompts. Because the question types and difficulty are stable, a test from several years ago is as useful as a recent one, and the interface in LawHub is the one used on test day.

Working a retired test

  1. Sit it as four timed sections with a break after the second The stamina demand is real; a section worked in isolation overstates what you will score.
  2. Log every Logical Reasoning error by question type A pattern of assumption errors needs a different fix from a pattern of parallel-reasoning errors.
  3. Re-read Reading Comprehension passages you got wrong for structure Most errors come from losing the argument’s shape, not from vocabulary.
  4. Write the essay from a LawHub prompt under the 15 + 35 split The prewriting stage is new to most candidates and rewards being used properly.
