Paper 1 — general knowledge	Karnataka state textbooks for history, geography and civics; a year of current affairs; a general science reader; a reasoning workbook	100 marks in 90 minutes.
Paper 2 — Kannada and English	School-level grammar and comprehension in each	70 of 100.
Paper 2 — computer knowledge	A basic computer applications text	30 marks.
Kannada test	An SSLC first-language reader	Only for those not exempt.
