Karnataka Teaching Posts — How to prepare

From gazette to select list

  1. Read your district’s gazette Each district and division has its own notification and vacancy table. The candidate instructions on the department’s site list them; the e-Gazette carries the PDFs.
  2. Choose one district per post A candidate may apply in one district for a primary post and another for a graduate post, but not two districts for the same post. In Kalyana Karnataka, choose the local or residual cadre.
  3. Apply before 25 September Fee reconciliation runs to 28 September. Keep the TET certificate, degree marks cards and training certificate ready — they enter the merit formula.
  4. Prepare both papers equally Each is half the examination score, and 35 in each is the floor. Paper 1 is general; Paper 2 is the subject at the degree’s level.
  5. Watch the key and the lists Keys two days after the examination, objections in seven working days, then the one-to-two verification list.

Confirm the structure against your own notification

KPSC and the state’s other recruiting bodies revise paper structure, marks, syllabus detail and eligibility between recruitment cycles, and have done so more than once in recent years. Everything here describes the shape the recruitment has held; the notification for the cycle you are sitting is the document that decides it. Read it end to end before you plan around any figure.
