Syllabus

Karnataka Teaching Posts — What the syllabus covers

Paper 1 — general, 100 marks
General knowledge and current affairs; general Kannada, 10; general English, 10; educational or child psychology and human development, 15; mental ability where listed, 15; computer literacy, 15; value education and health education.
Paper 2 — graduate primary, 100 questions
Kannada, English, mathematics and physical science, chemistry and biology, social science, or computer science, at degree level.
Paper 2 — assistant master, 100 questions
Kannada, English, chemistry-botany-zoology, or arts; and physical education for Grade I.
Paper 2 — primary, 100 questions
Mathematics, environmental studies and social science at the elementary level; physical education for Grade II.
KARTET
Two languages, child development and pedagogy, and mathematics with environmental studies in Paper 1; mathematics and science or social studies in Paper 2. Non-language sections printed in Kannada, English, Urdu, Tamil, Telugu, Hindi and Marathi.
