Karnataka Village Administrative Officer — How the paper is structured

The rules.
Rule	Detail
Kannada test	150 marks, 50 to pass; exempt for SSLC Kannada, Kannada medium or a previous pass; not counted.
Paper 1	General knowledge, 100 questions, 100 marks, 10.30 to 12.30.
Paper 2	Kannada, English and computer knowledge, 100 questions, 100 marks, 2.30 to 4.30.
Negative marking	0.25 per wrong answer; a multiply-shaded question is wrong.
Qualifying and merit	35 per cent of the aggregate; district-wise merit lists; one to three for verification, then one to one; no interview.
