MPSC Group B — How to prepare

From the prelims result to the list

  1. Watch the advertisements page for the 2026 mains notification It will carry its own application window and fee; the 2025 mains was notified on 7 April for an examination on 17 May.
  2. Treat the mains as two one-hour sprints Two hundred marks each; the language paper is half the examination and the cheapest marks for a strong reader.
  3. PSI candidates — measure first 165 cm and a 79 cm chest with 5 cm expansion, or 157 cm; then train the events to well over 60 per cent.
  4. State the preferences carefully PSI, STI and ASO differ in age limits and stages; the preference order decides the post.
  5. Follow the lists by post Recommendation lists come out post by post over months, and posts can be withheld under court orders.

MPSC and the state’s other recruiting bodies revise schemes, ratios and dates between cycles, and the advertisement for your cycle is the document that binds.
