- Tamil to the tenth standard of the state board — grammar, vocabulary, comprehension, literature and usage. One hour, 50 marks, 40 per cent to pass, and then discarded.
- Assistant Surgeon (General) — subject paper
- The MBBS curriculum at undergraduate level across the clinical and pre-clinical subjects, set as 100 objective questions in two hours in English. The board publishes the syllabus and the 2024 paper with its key.
- Pharmacist — subject paper
- The pharmacy curriculum at the level of the qualifying degree or diploma — pharmaceutics, pharmacology, pharmaceutical chemistry, pharmacognosy, hospital and clinical pharmacy, pharmacy law. The board publishes a syllabus.
- Health Inspector Grade-II — subject paper
- The multipurpose health worker and health inspector course at certificate level — community health, sanitation, communicable disease control, health programmes, first aid — set in Tamil and English.
- Marks-based posts
- No syllabus. The nursing assistant certificate, the laboratory technology diploma, the ANM course and the HSC and SSLC results are weighted as the notification sets.
