The planning rule: the subject is two-thirds of the rank and the Tamil test is the gate to all of it. An engineering candidate who prepares the discipline and neglects a hundred SSLC Tamil questions has prepared 300 marks that may never be read.
TNPSC revises paper structure, marks, syllabus detail and eligibility between recruitment cycles, and has done so more than once in recent years — the Tamil eligibility component itself is a recent addition.
