Uttar Pradesh Departmental Examinations — How the paper is structured

The rules.
Rule	Detail
Qualifying stages	Typing, skill tests and runs; no second chance, no appeal.
Written pass marks	35 per cent for the clerical and motor transport papers; 40 for programmer.
Service record	30 for motor transport; 50 for programmer; none for the clerical cadre.
No negative marking	Cancelled questions redistributed under the High Court formula.
Revenue	A pass to confirm; reversion possible; increment withheld without penalty procedure.
