Uttar Pradesh Teaching Posts — What the syllabus covers

UPTET Paper I: Child development and pedagogy; Hindi; English, Urdu or Sanskrit; mathematics; environmental studies — thirty questions each at the level of classes 1 to 5 with pedagogy.
UPTET Paper II: Child development and pedagogy; Hindi; a second language; and mathematics and science or social studies for sixty, at the level of classes 6 to 8.
Assistant teacher 2026 — primary: General knowledge and current affairs, reasoning, Hindi, Sanskrit and English, science, mathematics, environmental and social studies, teaching skill, child psychology, ICT, and life skills, management and attitude.
Assistant teacher 2026 — upper primary: General knowledge for thirty, and ninety in one subject — a language, social studies, or science and mathematics.
TGT and PGT: The subject at graduate or postgraduate level, by the commission’s subject syllabus; and, for examinations from 2026, a general knowledge paper of thirty questions.
