State TET — State TET exam pattern 2026: Paper 1 and Paper 2, mode, qualifying marks and how the states differ

Every state TET is two objective papers of 150 questions and 150 marks in two and a half hours, one mark a question, with no negative marking in the large states. Paper I is for classes I–V and Paper II for classes VI–VIII; some states add secondary-stage papers.

Timing is the only pressure

150 questions in 150 minutes with no deduction means every question is attempted and the last ten minutes go to the unanswered ones; the computer-based states show a mock interface on the portal a week before the test, and it is worth an hour.
