UIIC AO — How the paper is structured
The pattern is that of the notification of 7 September 2026. Compared with the 2024 UIIC notice and the NIACL pattern it adds a computer-knowledge test to the Generalist mains and states the merit weighting explicitly.

How the marks work
A quarter of the marks of a question is deducted for each wrong answer in both tiers; unanswered questions cost nothing. Tier I is qualifying. The descriptive script is evaluated only for candidates who clear the objective mains and must be passed. The final merit list is prepared from the Tier II objective marks and the interview in the ratio 75:25; Tier I and descriptive marks are not counted.
Tier I is a filter with three 20-minute sections and a quarter-mark penalty; its marks are not carried forward. The Generalist Tier II gives 60 marks each to reasoning, quantitative aptitude and general awareness, 50 to English and 20 to computer knowledge, each timed separately, so pacing is per section. The descriptive test is a pass-or-fail gate evaluated only for candidates who clear the objective mains. Final merit weights the mains objective score at 75 per cent and the interview at 25 — a larger interview share than most banking recruitments.
