Maharashtra Talathi — What the syllabus covers

Preliminary — general ability, 100
Current affairs, history and geography of Maharashtra and India, polity, economy, general science, arithmetic and reasoning, at degree standard.
Mains Paper 1 — Marathi and English, 200
Grammar, vocabulary, comprehension and usage; Marathi at twelfth standard, English at degree.
Mains Paper 2 — general studies and aptitude, 200
Current affairs, arithmetic and statistics, the RTI and Right to Public Services Acts, polity and local government, modern India with Maharashtra, geography and environment, science and technology, economy, reasoning.
The 2023 paper
Marathi and English at HSC standard, general knowledge and reasoning with arithmetic at degree standard, 50 marks each.
