UPPSC PCS — Using mock tests as a measurement

A routine to the prelims and beyond

  1. Paper I — 150 questions in two hours From the 2025 and 2024 papers. One-third off per wrong answer; the merit is this paper alone, and the 2024 cut for 947 posts let 15,066 through.
  2. Paper II — 100 questions to 66 marks Comprehension, reasoning and class X mathematics, Hindi and English. A qualifying paper that still fails candidates.
  3. Mains — three hours by hand Twenty questions, ten at 125 words and ten at 200, in one language; the essay paper as three 700-word essays in three hours.
  4. General Hindi A 150-mark paper with a minimum the commission may prescribe; candidates from English-medium schooling should sit it timed.
