UPPSC RO and ARO — How to prepare

From advertisement to result

  1. Watch the notifications page and the calendar The 2023 cycle took thirty months; the next advertisement will set its own dates and, on the 2025 precedent, a single-sitting preliminary.
  2. Get the ARO qualifications first The O-level or equivalent and Hindi typing at 25 words a minute are qualifications by the closing date, not later tests.
  3. Prepare Hindi as 280 of 400 Drafting, vocabulary and essay decide the mains; general studies is 120.
  4. Learn government drafting The précis of a government letter in tabular form and official correspondence are set every cycle and are unfamiliar to most graduates.
  5. Follow the biometric rules Iris and biometric verification and the 2024 Act’s penalties apply at every sitting.

UPPSC, UPSSSC, the police recruitment board and the state’s other recruiting bodies revise schemes, ratios and dates between cycles, and the advertisement for your cycle is the document that binds.
