UPSSSC PET — How to prepare

From registration to the mains

  1. Check the registration record Corrections to a one-time registration must be made before the next PET; name, date of birth and mobile are locked for PET 2025-linked accounts.
  2. Watch for the exam district and admit card Advance district information and admit cards come from the commission’s portal about a week before the test.
  3. Prepare to a score, not a pass There is no pass mark; the shortlist for each mains is fifteen per post on the normalised score.
  4. Apply for every mains that fits Each mains is a separate ₹25 application on the PET score; the 2026 round had twenty-one.
  5. Sit again to improve The highest valid score is used; a better PET 2026 score replaces PET 2025 for the mains of 2027.

Confirm the structure against your own notification

UPPSC, UPSSSC, the police recruitment board and the state’s other recruiting bodies revise schemes, ratios and dates between cycles, and the advertisement for your cycle is the document that binds. The figures here are from the latest documents on the official sites at the date checked and are labelled where they come from an older cycle.
