  • The clock starts as soon as you press Start and the paper submits itself at zero.
  • You can move between questions freely and change any answer before you submit.
  • Mark a question for review to come back to it — a marked question still counts as answered if you have chosen an option.
  • A wrong answer costs 0.83 marks, so leave a question blank when you have no idea.
  • Your score, the answer key and a full explanation for every question appear as soon as you submit.

How to learn from this NDA & NA mock

Treat the NDA Mock Test as a measurement, not as a verdict. The useful output is a short correction plan built from the questions that cost marks or time.

  1. Reproduce real conditions. Use one uninterrupted 25-minute sitting, no notes and the same answer discipline you would use in the examination.
  2. Review correct guesses as well as wrong answers. A lucky mark is unresolved knowledge and should enter the correction list.
  3. Classify the cause of every loss. Mark it as an unknown concept, wrong method, misread question, calculation slip, poor selection or time pressure.
  4. Choose only three immediate corrections. Revise or drill the highest-frequency causes before attempting another full paper.
  5. Retest with a fresh paper. Allow enough practice time for the correction to work, then check whether the same error class has declined.

How to interpret this score

This is a shortened NDA & NA practice paper, so compare accuracy, section balance and decision-making rather than treating the raw mark as a predicted official score. Cut-offs depend on the recruitment cycle, category, vacancies, paper difficulty and the authority’s scoring rules.

This exam

What this NDA set is measuring

The written examination has two papers — mathematics, and a general ability test with a large English component — and the written stage is only half of the selection. This set covers the written side; the rest of the process is not a paper at all.

What to read off the result

  • Mathematics accuracy at senior-secondary level — the paper is set to the school syllabus and rewards fluency with standard results rather than ingenuity. Slow working here usually means formulas being reconstructed instead of recalled.
  • English performance specifically — English carries a large share of the general ability paper and is regularly under-prepared by candidates focused on mathematics and general knowledge.
  • General knowledge spread — the general ability paper draws on physics, chemistry, general science, history, geography and current events. A candidate strong in one and absent in three loses marks that are individually cheap to recover.
  • Your guessing discipline — there is a deduction for wrong answers in the written papers. Decide in advance how narrow a guess has to be before you take it.

The written examination is not the selection

Candidates who clear the written stage face the Services Selection Board process and a medical examination, and a substantial share of the outcome is decided there rather than on the papers. Physical fitness and medical standards in particular take months to prepare for and cannot be arranged after a result. Read the current notification for the standards that apply to you.
