Andhra Pradesh Departmental Tests — How to prepare

From service rules to pass

  1. Identify your papers from your service rules Not from a colleague’s list. Confirm the codes, the period within which they must be passed, and whether you are already exempt from any — law graduates from the first two criminal judicial papers, commerce graduates from a divisional paper.
  2. Check the qualifying rule for each A single paper at 40, or a pair together, or an aggregate — Annexure III says which, and it changes how you spread your effort across a multi-paper test.
  3. Get the current document The revised syllabi on the departmental test page name the edition. For the criminal-law papers, that is the new codes with the concordance, not the old ones.
  4. Register in the window and keep the receipt About three weeks, online only, with a two-day correction window after. Applications close at eleven at night on the last date, and the fee is not refunded for any reason.
  5. Prepare to the paper’s mode Navigation for with-books objective papers, recall for without-books, handwriting for conventional. The mode is on the time-table against each code.

The result is on the website, and only there

No certificate is issued and none is sent. The displayed result is the authentic publication for extending benefits, and the Udyoga Samacharam format is issued for departmental use. Keep the hall ticket and download the result page; a memorandum of marks is available to unsuccessful candidates for a fee within a month, and recounting only for conventional papers within fifteen days.

Confirm the structure against your own notification

APPSC revises paper structure, marks, syllabus detail and eligibility between recruitment cycles, and has done so more than once in recent years. Everything here describes the shape the recruitment has held; the notification for the cycle you are sitting is the document that decides it. Read it end to end before you plan around any figure.
