Andhra Pradesh Teaching Posts — Reading previous papers properly

After each APTET the portal publishes an initial key, invites objections for a week, and publishes a final key; after each DSC it publishes merit lists by subject and district with each candidate’s marks. The question papers themselves are not published, and year-wise papers offered elsewhere are reconstructions. What the published material does give is the shape of the field: the pass rates by category, and the mark that selected in each district and subject.

What to practise from

  • The published syllabus per post — the department publishes a syllabus for each DSC post category and for the TET. Questions written from those documents are closer to the paper than a reconstructed set from a different year.
  • The 2025 merit lists — find the last selected mark for your post, subject and district. Subtract the TET weightage you expect and the number left is the written score you need.
  • The CTET papers for pedagogy and child development — published by the national board and set to the same framework. The right practice for the thirty-question common part of every APTET paper.
  • The state textbooks for content — Paper 1A is set on the classes I to V curriculum and Paper 2A on classes VI to VIII; the state’s own textbooks are the source.
