2. General studies I and II in three hours each Twenty-odd answers in the commission’s word limits, with the Bihar-specific questions on the freedom movement, economy and geography drafted in advance.
3. The essay Three hours for the paper; practise choosing topics you can structure, since it counts the same 300 as each general studies paper.
4. The optional as a pass A 100-question objective paper in two hours; enough to clear the state minimum without stealing time from the counted papers.
5. Hindi once a fortnight Thirty per cent qualifies; a candidate from a non-Hindi board should check that early.
