Bihar Teaching Recruitment — How to prepare

From eligibility to posting

  1. Hold the eligibility test before applying STET for classes 9 to 12, CTET or BTET for 1 to 8, passed — appearing candidates are not admitted, and CTET must be at 60 per cent or the category figure.
  2. Watch for the amended advertisement The 1 September notice promises amendment before applications open on about 21 September; the scheme, fees and dates should be re-read in it.
  3. Apply per level ₹100 a level, with the subject and district preferences; a candidate eligible for two levels applies twice.
  4. Prepare the preliminary as a Bihar paper The syllabus names Bihar’s history, rivers, economy and role in the national movement.
  5. Expect the results to be litigated The third round added candidates in May 2026 on a High Court order; the special teacher results are held under a Supreme Court order.

Confirm the structure against your own notification

BPSC, BSSC, the constable board and the state’s other recruiting bodies revise schemes, ratios and dates between cycles, and the advertisement for your cycle is the document that binds. The figures here are from the latest documents on the official sites at the date checked and are labelled where they come from an older cycle.
