UPSC CAPF — UPSC CAPF exam pattern 2026: Paper I, Paper II, PET/PST, interview and cut-offs

The CAPF Assistant Commandants examination has a written stage of two papers on one day, physical standard and efficiency tests that are pass or fail, a 150-mark interview and a medical examination. The final merit is out of 600.

How the written stage is used

Paper I screens — Paper II is evaluated only for candidates above the Paper I cut-off — 90.06 for general candidates in 2025.
Minimum in Paper II — 25 per cent (50 marks), 15 per cent for ex-servicemen.
Written cut-off — On Paper I plus Paper II — 173 of 450 for general candidates in 2025 — for the call to PST/PET.
