Andhra Pradesh Panchayat Secretary — Using mock tests as a measurement

A future recruitment to this post — by the commission for Grade-IV or by the department for Grade-V — will examine rural development and panchayat administration in Andhra Pradesh, because that is what the job is and what every previous examination asked. Mock practice built on the commission’s Group 3 Paper 2 syllabus prepares for either, and the general studies half prepares for every other APPSC paper besides.

A routine that serves either route

  1. A rural development sectional weekly Fifty questions in fifty minutes on the Panchayat Raj Act, schemes, the rural economy and local-body finance, scored with the commission’s one-third penalty.
  2. A general studies paper fortnightly The APPSC Paper 1 format — 150 questions in 150 minutes — with the state layer included.
  3. A full Group 3 mock monthly Both papers, back to back, penalty applied.
  4. The accounts rules, if you are aiming at Grade-V The Accounts Test for Local Body Employees is a probation test, but its content — budget, receipts, expenditure, audit of a local body — is also Paper 2 content. Reading it early pays twice.
