The planning rule: the rank is one objective paper of 200 questions, and a quarter of it is reasoning. Drilled method moves that quarter faster than reading moves the rest, and with 803 posts and eight thousand candidates in the mains, the margin between ranks is a handful of questions.
TNPSC revises paper structure, marks, syllabus detail and eligibility between recruitment cycles, and has done so more than once in recent years — the Tamil eligibility component itself is a recent addition.
