TNPSC Group 4 — Reading previous papers properly

The answer-keys page holds the Group 4 papers with final keys for the cycles examined on 12 July 2025, 9 June 2024, 24 July 2022, 1 September 2019, 11 February 2018 and 6 November 2016, and the standalone VAO examinations of 2012, 2014 and 2016 before the post was merged into the combined examination. The 2025 paper is published in both its Tamil-and-general-studies and its English-and-general-studies versions.

How to work the archive

  • Sit each paper in one three-hour sitting with the blank rule — option E for every unknown, half a mark off per blank, and Part A scored first to see whether the gate is cleared.
  • Track the Tamil units across cycles — grammar, literature and comprehension in roughly stable proportions. The 2024 and 2025 papers are the current shape.
  • Collect the Tamil Nadu general studies questions — districts, rivers, dynasties, movements, schemes — into one file across the six papers.
  • Time Part C separately — twenty-five aptitude questions in the minutes left after 175 others is a pace problem the archive teaches.
